AWS Managed Microsoft directory
Creates an HA Microsoft active directory (within a VPC) running on windows server 2012 R2
can be connected to an On premisses AD

To set up replication for HA - need to set up forest trust, and add another AD on to an EC2
AD Connector
Gateway to connect an on premises active directory to AWS - provides SSO to AWS (AD to IAM)
can join EC2 to your domain - dose not support HA, need VPN or DX
Simple AD
AD compatible managed by AWS - cannot be joined with premises AD
